Thursday Thirteen for my Inner Child

Thirteen reasons I am not mature enough to be a parent.

1. I bought my own box of crayons and hid them so I wouldn't have to share.

2. I pray every night for a snow day.

3. When someone picks on my daughter, my first thought is "kick him in the junk".

4. I often end conversations with my son with the words "Okay, fine. You're right then...Except that you're not!"

5. I wish the school would lay off with that whole attendance/tardy record thing.

6. I regularly eat cookies and soda for breakfast.

7. My kids ask me to turn my music down.

8. I loves me some Play Dough.

9. When I made my kids' Valentine's Day cupcakes, I licked the beaters...then ate four cupcakes.

10. I think it's funny to sneak up on my husband and attack him with crappy karate moves proclaiming "I am a ninja!" Sometimes I do it in slow motion and become "Really slow ninja!" of course.

11. I am jealous of my kids' stuff. When was the last time I got a gift this cool?

12. If given the chance, I would totally spend all of my money on makeup and junk food.

13. I often stop and look around and wonder exactly whose life I am in. Who the heck thought it was okay for me to be responsible for other human beings?!?

I hide candy from my kid. This is a grand tradition in my family. My dad did it all the time. I think my Mom found candy my Dad had been hiding when she was cleaning out his drawers after he passed away. He was still hiding it from us even though we were all grown or almost grown.

Shhh! don't let this cat out of the bag or we're all in trouble. Maybe moms all over are doing all this too.

I looked at some of your other posts and noticed that you are in CO and then I saw on your business page that you're in Longmont! Is there any chance at all that you were at the LLL conference in October? I was.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. :D

You are my idol!!!

I hide crayons too!! Oh and chocolate.

Doesn't everyone lick the spatula?

Don't tell but I not only pretend I'm a ninja...I do the secret attack ninja pose.

Which consists of hiding behind large objects and running at my hubby when he least expects it and ninja chopping him. :0)

I really really enjoyed your TT. I can't wait to see what the rest of your site is like. (I'm new to your site, of course. Duh?!)

OMG! I want to be a kid in your household! LOL You sound like too much fun.

I cracked up at the ninja moves - I do the same thing with my boys.

And the candy? Yeah, I hide it too, only not from my family but because I'm embarrassed by how much I eat of it. lol

Yep, my music is ALWAYS too loud. lol

Thanks for popping by!

This is my first time here- through Sleeping Mommy. I must say I love the site and I punch my boyfriend all the time claiming to the "The World's Best Boxer". My favorite part is using his butt as a punching bag! He's the ninja, and always threatens a flying-round-house kick, where I promptly knock him out. Haha. Enjoy those crayons.
